A few weeks ago I had the privilege of being asked to capture some photos of a gorgeous couple of as they celebrated their marriage with close friends and their families. I know, after photographing many weddings, just how important and close families can be but for Tanya and Daniel – they just seemed to be extra close. Thanks guys for including me in your amazing day.
Instead of me gushing on about how emotional, happy and fun the day was. About how many laughs the bridal party shared and just how amazing Tanya looked – I asked Tanya to fill in the blanks about her day. So, take it away Tanya:
What’s the story behind you and Daniel: We were friends in high school but didnt get together until two years after leaving school. We’d been friends for about 9 years and dating for 7. I always had a crush on him!
Where was the wedding: Holy Cross Church South Kincumber with a reception at The Pavilion – Diggers at The Entrance.
Were you going for a certain theme or style: I wanted a black and with pops of purple – dark, ramantic and elegant.
Was there a journey in finding your dress: I always thought I wanted a masive beaded, full-on, over the top dress but had often seen the dress I eventually wore in the window of the bridal shop when driving past. I finally tried it on and absolutely fell in love with it! So simple and very… me.
Brides Shoes: Bows were a big theme at our wedding, so we found the gorgeous glitzy bow shoes at Novo and they were just perfect.
Jewellery and Accessories: Jewellery was all from Lovisa with the bridesmaids all wearing purple jewellery.
Hair and Makeup: Make up was done by the amazing Lee Hanley, hair by my Aunty and myself at Beautify Me- 0416389947
Groomsmen: All the groomsmen were in black self strip suits with black shirts and no tie.
The Flowers: Tanya from Angel Bloom created all the bouquets and she did a fab job.
The Cake: My mum made the cake and she stressed over it for so long but it turned out to be simply AMAZING!
Bomboniere: I made all the bomboniere which were shot glasses filled with personalised rock candy with the words; Daniel <3 Tanya. We also attached the place cards to these which worked well.
A Memorable Moment: Probably the vows when I said “I Daniel take you Tanya,” but it was funny and we couldn’t help but laugh. Also, just having our amazing family around us on one of the most important time of our life - I’ll never forget that.
The Honeymoon: We actually leave for our honeymoon this Sunday! We are very excited to be going on our 10 relaxing day cruise around the Pacific Islands doing nothing except eating beautiful food and drinking cocktails.
What the most important piece of advice you would like to share with brides to be: Organise yourself early, as soon as you know what you want, book it. And, just don’t stress too much. It will all be perfect on the day. Also, be sure to book impact images
Do you have a favourite photo: Way too hard to pick. They are all amazing!!!
