Wedding: Kyra & Mark

Wedding: Kyra & Mark

January 10, 2011 |  by  |  Wedding

When Kyra and Mark booked me to photograph their wedding I had the feeling that this was a day that had been planned and dreamed about since Kyra was a little girl. Not only were the two of them excited about the prospect of a “perfect wedding,” Kyra’s dad Kerry was every bit as passionate about making everything just right.

On the number of times I ran into Kerry around town, he would always stop to share a few ideas on locations, themes, decorations and it became clear that his little girl was THE number one priority and this day was going to be simply great.

Well, Kerry was right – the day was perfect in every way. The guys looked smart in their suits, the girls were shining in their bright dresses and Kyra was picture perfect in her Kel-Leigh gown and so, so excited. I love photographing groups like this one!

The girls made their preparations at the Star Of The Sea Apartments at Terrigal which provide some beautiful backdrops and light for photos before heading for Terrigal Presbyterian Church to be married on the edge of the lake on a perfect Summers day with a light breeze coming off the ocean.

After some family photos and some shots with Mark’s beloved rotary cars we headed into Terrigal for some snaps of the bridal party followed by a reception at the newly renovated Shelly Beach Golf Club for a terrific night of great food, a huge lolly jar, a block of chocolate the size I have never seen, heartfelt speeches and plenty of dancing – the perfect wedding.

  1. When Kyra and Mark went “searching” for a photographer they came up with one name – Andrew from Impact Images. It had “to be Andrew” and no one else. The photo’s, for me, speak for themselves and justifies the absolute trust Kyra and Mark had in Andrew to take the photo quality and diversity of photo they wanted. What you cannot see in the photos is the other qualities Andrew brought to the table – or perhaps you can – his attitude is first class and the warmth, sincerity, encouragement and constant positive nature he brings with him makes any photo opportunity come to life – naturally. I, we, will through any forum available to us recommend Impact Images. Thanks Andrew and team.
