A Hunter Valley Wedding with Tartan: Sharon and Struan

Natalie puts a few questions to Sharon about Struan and their recent wedding in the Hunter Valley Vineyards – looks like a day filled with fun, love and laughter!

How did you guys meet?
My sister works with Struan and told him he should meet me at one of their after work Friday night drinks!

Craziest thing you have ever done together?
A tandem cable swing (head first!!) in Queenstown in Jan 2011!

Was there a journey to finding the dress?
No (thank god!) it was the last appointment on my first day of shopping so I was very lucky – it was perfect!

What was your favourite part to planning the wedding?
Is it sad to say everything? Actually it was seeing it all come together in the end and having everyone we love and care about in the same room! We had some many guests travel from vast distances so it was extra special!

Most coveted detail from the wedding?
I would have to say me walking down the aisle and seeing Struan’s face. It took my breath away! I also loved all of the speeches, they were so funny and had the whole crowd laughing!

Do you have a favourite photo?
It is too hard to pic! You took so many amazing ones, and captured every single moment beautifully!

Any advice to brides getting married in 2012?
Try and keep relaxed and enjoy the entire process, from planning to the actual day! The day itself goes so fast so try and take a few moments just the two of you to soak it all up!
